Symptoms - Object Detection Except Holden

Visual/Physical Inspection
• | Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or for conditions which could cause the symptom. |
• | Make sure the rear parking assist sensors located on the vehicle rear bumper are clear. Remove any snow, mud or ice that is blocking the sensors. |
Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to
Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections.

Rear Parking Assist Malfunction

Visual/Physical Inspection
• | If the vehicle is fitted with a genuine Holden trailer harness, opening
the trailer connector cover actuates a switch that disables the rear object detection
system. Damage to the trailer connector or to the trailer connector cover may disable
the object detection system. Refer to
Checking Aftermarket Accessories. |
• | Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious
damage or conditions which could cause the symptom. |
• | Make sure the rear object alarm sensors located on the vehicles rear bumper
are cleared of obstruction. Remove any contaminates that are blocking the sensors. |
