Subject: | 05125 -- ENGINE WIRING HARNESS ROUTING |
Models: | 2006 CHEVROLET OPTRA |
It has been reported that the engine wiring harness may contact the EGR pipe. As a result, the wiring harness melts and ground short occurs, turning the engine check light on.
The engine wiring harness must be relocated and strapped to a surge tank return hose in order to separate it from the EGR pipe. If the engine wiring harness has already been damaged to a degree that electrical failures may be caused, it should be replaced and then strapped with a surge tank return hose.
