•	Inspect the easily accessible to visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which may cause the symptom.

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections.

•	Shift Lever Does Not Move with Brake Pedal Depressed.

•	Shift Lever Can Be Moved without Brake Pedal Depressed.
