Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1548139 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  3. Remove the following from the steering shaft:
    4. 3.1. Steering shaft seal (3)
    3.2. Sensor retainer (2)
    3.3. Adapter and bearing assembly (1)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1548139 Size: SH
  1. Install the following to the steering shaft:
    2. 1.1. Adapter and bearing assembly (1)
    1.2. Sensor retainer (2)
    1.3. Steering shaft seal (3)
  2. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
