THE CRUISE CONTROL MAY EXPERIENCE MOMENTARY DISENGAGEMENT WHILE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE OPERATING. THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY THE WIPER ARM LINKAGE CONTACTING THE CRUISE CONTROL SERVO ELECTRICAL HARNESS AND INTERMITTENTLY SHORTING IT. TO REPAIR THIS CONDITION, THE CRUISE HARNESS MUST BE REROUTED OVER THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND A CLIP INSTALLED ON THE BOOSTER TO SECURE THE HARNESS. USE CLIP P/N 1255157 TO ROUTE THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS ASSEMBLY AS WELL AS THE WASHER BOTTLE HOSE AND THE A/C ELECTRICAL HARNESS. NOTE: THE WASHER HOSE MUST LAY ON TOP OF THE HARNESSES BEFORE THE CLIP IS LOCKED TO PERMIT PROPER WASHER FLUID TRANSFER TO THE FLUIDIC WASHER NOZZLES. ANY OTHER INSTALLATION METHOD MAY RESULT IN POOR WASHER FLUID TRANSFER. VEHICLES AFFECTED ST. THERESE BUILT: ALL VIN'S PRIOR TO E2247000 BALTIMORE BUILT: ALL VIN'S PRIOR TO MARCH 1984, BEGINNING WITH EB200008
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
