Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the powertrain control module. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls-1.0L or Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls-1.3L.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 354261  Size: SH
  4. Remove the following components from the blower case:
  5. • The 1 screw (3)
    • The blower motor resistor (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 354261  Size: SH
  1. Install the resistor (2) to the blower case.
  2. Secure the resistor with 1 screw (3).

  3. Connect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  4. Install the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls-1.0L or Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls-1.3L.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the powertrain control module (PCM). Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement -1.0L, or Powertrain Control Module Replacement -1.3L in Engine Controls.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the blower-motor resistor.

  3. Object Number: 354261  Size: SH
  4. Remove 1 screw (3) and the blower-motor resistor (2) from the blower case (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 354261  Size: SH
  1. Install the resistor (2) to the blower case (1). Secure the resistor with the 1 screw (3).
  2. Connect the electrical connector of the blower-motor resistor electrical connector.
  3. Install the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement 1.0L or Powertrain Control Module Replacement 1.3L in Engine Controls.
