For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Drive the vehicle for 24 km (15 miles) or until the engine reaches normal operating temperature.
  2. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  3. Clean the leak area with solvent.
  4. Allow the leak area to air-dry.

    Caution: Epoxy cement may cause skin irritations and eye damage. Read and follow all information on the container label as provided by the manufacturer.

  5. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations in order to mix a sufficient amount of epoxy adhesive GM P/N 1052533 or of the equivalent.
  6. Use a clean, dry soldering acid brush in order to apply the epoxy adhesive when the transaxle case is hot.
  7. Allow the epoxy to cure for 3 hours before starting the engine.
  8. Repeat the fluid leak diagnosis procedure in order to verify the repair.
