Tools Required

1. Remove the manual transaxle assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission.
2. Remove the clutch pressure plate. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .
3. Remove the clutch disc. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .



4. Use J 34839 the , J 37764 the J 23907 and the in order to remove the clutch pilot bearing (1).
5. Inspect the clutch pilot bearing (1) for the following conditions:

•	Scored bearings

•

Binding

•

Damage

Tools Required

1. Use J 34848 with J 36190 in order to install the clutch pilot bearing (1) into the crankshaft .
2. Install the clutch disc. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .
3. Install the pressure plate. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .
4. Install the manual transaxle assembly into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission.
