Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1832176 Size: SH
  1. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold alignment pins.

    2. Object Number: 1849037 Size: SH
  2. Install the fuel injector rail.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1849033 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector rail bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1849041 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1849031 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector sight shield ballstud and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    2. Object Number: 1849029 Size: SH
  2. Install a NEW intake manifold tuning valve O-ring.

    3. Object Number: 1849027 Size: SH
  3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.

    4. Object Number: 1849026 Size: SH
  4. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    5. Object Number: 1849023 Size: SH
  5. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.

    6. Object Number: 1849022 Size: SH
  6. Install the throttle body.

    7. Object Number: 1849020 Size: SH
  7. Install the throttle body bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    8. Object Number: 1849019 Size: SH
  8. Install the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

    9. Object Number: 1849024 Size: SH
  9. Install the MAP sensor bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    10. Object Number: 1849018 Size: SH
  10. Install the fuel rail support bracket.

    11. Object Number: 1849017 Size: SH
  11. Install the fuel rail support bracket bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1849016 Size: SH

    Note: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

  1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.

    2. Object Number: 1849015 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.

    3. Object Number: 1849012 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold and tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1849010 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel rail feed hose bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    5. Object Number: 1849008 Size: SH
  5. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts and tighten to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
