Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

    2. Object Number: 1239067 Size: SH
  2. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  4. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 1239042 Size: SH
  5. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolt.
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
  7. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
  8. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.

    9. Object Number: 1239046 Size: SH
  9. Remove the generator bracket bolts.
  10. Remove the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1239046 Size: SH
  1. Install the generator bracket.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the generator bracket bolts and tighten in sequence to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 1239042 Size: SH
  3. Install the drive belt tensioner.
  4. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  5. Install the drive belt idler pulley.
  6. Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

    7. Object Number: 1239067 Size: SH
  7. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement.
  8. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
  9. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
