Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Malibu 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2097923 Size: SH
  1. Support the engine. Refer to Engine Support Fixture.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Remove the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Right Side.
  4. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts (1).
  5. Remove the engine mount to cradle frame nuts (1).
  6. Lower the vehicle part way.
  7. Using the support fixture, raise the engine and remove the mount.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2097923 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount (3) to the lower bracket.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten to 50 N·m (38 lb ft).

  2. Install the lower bracket bolts (2).

    3. Tighten

        • Tighten the bottom bolt to 50 N·m (38 lb ft).
        • Tighten the upper bolt to 90 N·m (66 lb ft)
  3. Install the upper engine mount bracket nuts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 50 N·m (38 lb ft).

  4. Install the upper engine mount bracket bolts (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the upper engine mount bracket bolts to 50 N·m (38 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the engine support. Refer to Engine Support Fixture.
