The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

This PI was created to supplement Bulletin 05-05-26-002A to now include 2005-2007 Malibu's with the J67 (rear disc) braking system's.

Recommendation/Instructions:

First inspect the rear parking brake cable grommets and if they are "WHITE" in color they are the old style. You will need to replace both existing white parking brake cable grommets with new black grommets, P/N 15807015

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
