The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Any DVD Player concern

Recommendation/Instructions:

DO NOT swap the DVD player from a known good vehicle for diagnostic test purposes. The DVD player will operate ONLY in the vehicle it was originally installed in. It learns the vehicle's VIN from the BCM on the first ignition cycle after it is installed, and a new VIN cannot be learned.

Note:  It is OK to swap the LCD screen from a known good vehicle for diagnostic test purposes only.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
