Removal Procedures

    Object Number: 1219336 Size: SH
  1. Remove the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb and/or Cornering, Sidemarker, Park, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .
  2. Remove the push-in retainers from the upper grille.
  3. Remove the nuts from the molding.

    4. Pull the upper grille back to access the center nuts.

  4. Applying heat from a heat gun for about 30 seconds holding the heat gun approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the retainer will help in removal of the tab.
  5. Loosely support the molding to the fascia with tape.
  6. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the fascia retainer slot on both sides from the molding tab.
  7. Remove the tape and the molding from the fascia.

Installation Procedures

    Object Number: 1219390 Size: SH
  1. Position the molding tab to the slot in the fascia on one side.
  2. Press the molding into the slot working across the molding to seat the studs into the fascia.
  3. Position the molding tab to the slot in the fascia on the opposite side.

    4. Pressing into place until fully seated.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the nuts to the molding.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 2 N·m (19 lb in).

  5. Install the push-in retainers to the upper grille.
  6. Install the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb and/or Cornering, Sidemarker, Park, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .
