For 1990-2009 cars only
- Clean all components with cleaning solvent.
- Dry the components with compressed air.
- Inspect the timing chain for binding or wear.
- Inspect the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets for:
- Inspect the timing chain tensioner (1) and timing chain tensioner slides (2) for excessive wear or cracks. Repair or replace as required.
Caution: Bodily injury may occur if the cleaning solvent is inhaled or exposed to the skin.
