Power Window Glass Chatter - keywords channel run squeak weatherstrip window

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment that one or more of the power windows chatters going up or down. There is a lip with anti-friction coating in the glass run channel. If the window glass does not track on this lip, it may contact the rubber of the glass run channel, causing the window to chatter going up or down.

To correct this condition, pull back the lip with anti-friction coating and lubricate the rubber surface of the glass run channel with weatherstrip lubricant PN 3634770 (KRYTOX) or equivalent. If a nonequivalent weatherstrip lubricant is used, it is likely to wear off quickly.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
