Bulletin 05-08-50-002 (additional information) - Keywords - backcloth head pattern restraint rest neck seat

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

When performing Bulletin 05-08-50-002 on 2004 vehicles and you notice that the (new) head rest is missing the " checkered " pattern in the cloth like the headrest currently in the vehicle.

Remove the cover off the old head rest and install it on your new head rest.

Note: The design fix was to remove some foam in the head rest to help better support the neck, and head.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
