Radiator Grille Reinstallation Precaution (Export Only)

Radiator grilles have been replaced under warranty due to cracking where the attaching bolts fit through the top corners.

Investigation has found that all vehicles with this condition have had the washer bottle filler neck replaced (grille removed). Testing has confirmed that if the M6 attaching bolts are over-tightened, the radiator grille material will crack.

When reinstalling the radiator grille, do not over-tightened the securing M6 bolts. Torque the bolts carefully to 5 N·m (44 lb in) (maximum).

Important: Air tools should not be used when tensioning the radiator grille attaching bolts (1).
