Theft Deterrent Module and Key Replacement

Previously when replacing the Theft Deterrent Module on a VE or WM vehicle, the transponder keys would also need to be replaced as it was not possible to reprogram the original keys to a new TDM.

As of TIS 2007/05, the original transponder keys can be retained when a new TDM is installed.

After installing the new TDM, perform Service Programming (SPS) of the TDM. Then program the original transponder keys using a Tech 2®

DO NOT replace the original transponder keys when replacing the TDM.
