Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105820  Size: SH
  1. Slide the conduit back from the modulator hose.
  2. Remove the vacuum line from the modulator.

  3. Object Number: 97302  Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt/screw.
  5. Remove the torque converter clutch wiring harness shield.
  6. Remove the clamp at the modulator base.
  7. Remove the vacuum modulator and the O-ring.
  8. Use care to avoid losing the modulator valve from the transaxle case.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 97302  Size: SH
  1. Install the vacuum modulator and the new O-ring.
  2. Install the clamp.
  3. Install torque converter clutch wiring harness shield.
  4. Install the bolt/screw.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt/screw to 24 N·m (18 lb ft ).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the vacuum line to the modulator.
  7. Slide the conduit back over the hose at the modulator.
