Subject: POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY REVISED SPECIAL TOOLS

Model and Year: 1991 CAVALIER, CORSICA, BERETTA WITH 3.1L ENGINE 1991 LUMINA WITH 3.1 L AND 3.4L ENGINE 1990-91 U-VAN WITH 3.1 L ENGINE

At start of production the Power Steering Pump Pulley changed on the 3.1 (LG6), also a model year running change on the 3.1 (LHO) and 3.4 (LQ1). The Power Steering Pump Pulley is now made of composite material. This new pulley has a flange which decreases the diameter of the access hole which previous "J" and "BT" used. These Special tools will not work. Refer to Figure 1 for correct Special tool applications.
