Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls - 3.1L (LG8)

Inspect CKT 121 between the instrument cluster connector terminal D8 and the ignition control module (ICM) connector C1 terminal C for the following conditions:

Does an open, a short, excessive resistance, or electromagnetic interference exist in CKT 121?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Repair CKT 121 between the instrument cluster connector terminal D8 and the ICM connector C1 terminal C as needed.
2. Inspect the system.

Is the symptom still present?

Go to Step 4

System OK

1. Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

System OK
