Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment convenience net and fastener, as needed. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Use a grease pencil in order to make alignment marks to the rear compartment lid for location at installation.

  4. Object Number: 292015  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nuts (3) and the bolts (1) from the rear compartment lid lock striker (2).
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 292015  Size: SH
  1. Position the rear compartment lid lock striker (2) to the pencil marks.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts (3) and the bolts (1) from the rear compartment lid lock striker (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts and bolts to 6 N·m (54 lb in).

  5. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the rear compartment convenience net and fastener, as needed. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
