Removal Procedure

    Important: Have an aid support the rear compartment lid before performing the following steps so the rear compartment lid does not fall down and cause personal injury. If an assistant is not available, remove the lid from the hinges.

  1. Open the rear compartment.

    2. Object Number: 291979 Size: SH
  2. Use a ½ inch inside diameter pipe or equivalent in order to pry up the free end of the rear compartment lid torque rod (3).

    3. Remove the rear compartment torque rod (3) from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 291979 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge end  (2) of the rear compartment lid torque rod (3).
  2. Use a ½ inch inside diameter pipe or equivalent in order to install the bracket end of the rear compartment lid torque rod (3) in the notch bracket.
  3. Repeat step 1 and step 2 for the opposite side.
  4. Close the rear compartment.
