Inspect Fuse 11.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Check for mechanical binding by cranking the roof manually to a middle position. Refer to Power Sunroof Description .

Does the sunroof move freely?

  1. Disconnect the sunroof switch connector.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof switch harness connector terminal G and B+.

Does the test light illuminate?

Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof switch harness connector terminal A and B+.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof switch connector terminal F and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

--

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Reconnect the sunroof switch.
  3. Disconnect the sunroof actuator.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  5. Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof actuator connector circuit 129 (sunroof switch side) and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof actuator connector circuit 129 (sunroof switch side) and ground
  2. Momentaritly press the sunroof switch in the CLOSE position

Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof actuator connector circuit 127 (sunroof switch side) and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Using a test light, backprobe between the sunroof actuator connector circuit 127 (sunroof switch side) and ground.
  2. Momentarily press the sunroof switch in the OPEN position.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

  1. Check for a poor connection at the sunroof actuator.
  2. If OK, replace the sunroof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Replacement .

Repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 150 between sunroof switch harness connector and splice S390.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

  1. Check for a short to B+ in circuit 129 between the sunroof actuator connector and the sunroof switch connector terminal C.
  2. If OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

  1. Check for a poor connection or an open in circuit 129 between the sunroof actuator connector and the sunroof switch connector terminal C.
  2. If OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer Sunroof Switch Replacement .

  1. Check for a short to B+ in circuit 127 between the sunroof actuator connector and the sunroof switch connector terminal B.
  2. If OK, replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

  1. Check for a poor connection or an open in circuit 127 between the sunroof actuator connector and the sunroof switch connector terminal B.
