For 1990-2009 cars only
- If the power in the vehicle fails, the sunroof panel may be opened or closed.
- Partially lower the headliner in order to access the motor and drive gear. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Disengage the motor clutch in order to manually position the sunroof panel. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Replacement .
- In order to engage the drive gear, turn the key in the opposite direction after opening or closing the roof. A click will be heard. This indicates that the drive gear has engaged.
Use the J 38043 .
Insert the J 38043 .
Push up and rotate the tool in the desired direction.
