Removal Procedure

Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Headliner Installer
Remove the sunshades. Refer to
Sunshade Replacement
.
Remove the sunroof control switch, if equipped. Refer to
Sunroof Switch Replacement
in Roof.
Remove the sunshade retainers (4). Refer to
Sunshade Anchor Replacement
.
Remove the dome lamp. Refer to
Dome Lamp Replacement
in Lighting.
Remove the coat hook. Refer to
Coat Hook Replacement
or
Coat Hook Replacement
.
Loosen the windshield side upper garnish molding. Refer to
Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper
.
Remove the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to
Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement
for the Sedan. Refer to
Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement
for the Coupe.
Loosen the lower quarter trim panels. Use the
J 38778
.
Remove the center pillar upper trim panel, if the vehicle is a sedan. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
Remove the rear headliner retainer (3). Use the
J 38778
.
Carefully separate the hook portion from the loop portion until the headliner is loose.
Lower the right seat back to a horizontal position.
Remove the headliner through the right door.
Installation Procedure
Install the headliner (2).
Install the rear headliner retainers (3).
Install the center pillar upper trim panel, if the vehicle is a sedan. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
Install the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to
Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement
for the sedan or refer to
Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement
for the coupe.
Install the windshield side upper garnish molding. Refer to

Install the coat hook. Refer to
Coat Hook Replacement
