Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  2. Support the door.
  3. Mark the location of the hinge to the door with a grease pencil.
  4. Remove the door hinge to door bolts
  5. Remove the door with the aid of an assistant.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the door with the aid of an assistant.

  2. Object Number: 467485  Size: SH
  3. Align the hinge to the door using the grease pencil marks.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Use Loctite® Blue GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent prior to installing the fasteners.

  5. Install the intermediate door hinge bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge to door bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  7. Remove the support.
  8. Install the conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
