Coupe and sedan front doors use a cross arm regulator.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the energy absorber pad (coupe only). Refer to Front Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.

  7. Remove the window regulator bolts (2) (power windows).

  8. Object Number: 294501  Size: SH
  9. Remove the window regulator bolts (3) (manual windows).
  10. Remove the window regulator cam nut.
  11. Remove the rivets (2).
  12. Remove the window regulator cam bolt.
  13. Remove the regulator (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 294498  Size: SH
  1. Position the regulator (4) by inserting the bottom through the access opening.
  2. Rotate the top through the opening while lowering the regulator in order to clear the top of the access opening.
  3. Align the holes in the door inner panel.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the door window regulator bolts (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the upper left rivet.
  8. Install the lower right rivet.
  9. Install the door window regulator cam bolt.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  11. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
  12. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  13. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  14. Install the energy absorber pad (coupe only). Refer to Front Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  15. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
