Manual Mirror Replacement Coupe

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 293776  Size: SH
  3. Remove the mirror reinforcement cover.
  4. Remove the manual mirror attaching nuts (3).
  5. Remove the mirror (2) from the door with the cable (1) attached.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 293776  Size: SH
  1. Route the control cable (1) through the hole in the door inner trim panel at the mirror reinforcement.
  2. Position the mirror (2) to the door.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the manual mirror attaching nuts.
  5. Start at the lower left nut. Tighten in a clockwise direction.

    Tighten
    Tighten the manual mirror attaching nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the mirror reinforcement cover.
  7. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

Manual Mirror Replacement Sedan

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 293771  Size: SH
  3. Remove the mirror reinforcement cover.
  4. Remove the manual mirror attaching bolts (3).
  5. Remove the mirror (2) from the door with the cable (1) attached.

Installation Procedure

  1. Route the control cable (1) through the hole in the door inner trim panel at the mirror reinforcement.
  2. Important: Tuck the front edge of the mirror under the weatherstrip. Slid the mirror forward as far as possible so the mirror is flush with the belt molding.

  3. Position the mirror (2) to the door.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
