Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Sedan
Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 38778 Door Trim
Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent
surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
- Remove the front sidemarker lamps. Refer to
Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the lower air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors
in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the front bumper fascia to fender liner screws.
- Remove the lower support from the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Lower Support Replacement
.
- Use the J 38778
to remove the front bumper fascia to
headlamp bracket push--in retainers (6).
- Use the J 38778
to
remove the front bumper fascia to front bumper impact bar push--in retainers.
- Remove the front bumper fascia reinforcement to front fender nuts.
- Remove the front bumper fascia from the vehicle.
- Remove the front bumper fascia emblem. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Emblem Replacement
in Exterior
Trim.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front bumper fascia emblem. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Emblem Replacement
in Exterior
Trim.
- Install the front bumper
fascia to the vehicle.
- Install the front bumper fascia reinforcement to front fender
nuts (1).
- Install the front bumper fascia to front bumper impact bar push--in
retainers (3).
- Install the front bumper fascia to headlamp bracket push--in
retainers (6).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
bumper fascia to radiator air baffle screws.
Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia to fender liner screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the front bumper fascia to fender liner screws.
Tighten
Tighten the front bumper fascia to fender liner screws to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the lower air deflector. Refer to
Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors
in Engine Cooling.
- Install the front sidemarker lamps. Refer to
Front Side Marker Lamp Replacement
in Lighting
Systems.
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Coupe
Removal Procedure

to remove the front bumper fascia to
headlamp bracket push--in retainers (1).
- remove the front bumper fascia reinforcement to front fender nuts
(3).
- Remove the front bumper fascia from the vehicle.
- Remove the front bumper fascia emblem. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Emblem Replacement
in Exterior
Trim.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front bumper fascia emblem. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Emblem Replacement
in Exterior
Trim.
- Install the front bumper
fascia to the vehicle.
- Install the front bumper fascia reinforcement to front fender
nuts (3).
- Install the front bumper fascia to front bumper impact bar push--in
retainers (6).
- Install the front bumper fascia to headlamp bracket push--in
retainers (1).
- Install the front bumper fascia to radiator air baffle push--in
retainers.
