Front Bumper Fascia Lower Support Replacement LS

1. Remove the lower air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.



2. Remove the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia upper support bolt.
3. Remove the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia rivets (3).
4. Remove the front bumper fascia lower support (2) from the front bumper fascia (1).

1. Install the front bumper fascia lower support (2) to the front bumper fascia (1).




Important: Install the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia center rivet first.

2. Install the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia rivets (3).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia upper support bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the lower support bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

4. Install the lower air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.

Front Bumper Fascia Lower Support Replacement Z34/LTZ

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Use the J 38778 to remove the front bumper fascia to front bumper impact bar push--in retainers.



2. Remove the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper rivets (3).
3. Remove the front bumper fascia lower support (1) from the front bumper fascia (2).

1. Install the front bumper fascia lower support (1) to the front bumper fascia (2).
2. Install the front bumper fascia lower support to front bumper fascia rivets (3).
3. Install the front bumper fascia to front bumper impact bar push--in retainers.
