Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 292196  Size: SH
  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Remove the radiator upper air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the horn to be replaced.
  4. Remove the bolt retaining the horn to the horn bracket (7).
  5. Remove the horn from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the horn to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the horn to horn bracket (7) retaining bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the horn mounting bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (4) to the horn.
  6. Install the radiator upper air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.
  7. Close the hood.
