Instrument Panel Air Outlet Vent Replacement Left and Center

Removal Procedure

  1. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to gently press the instrument panel (IP) air outlet vent towards one side of the opening in the IP cluster trim plate.
  2. While pressing the air outlet vent to one side of the opening, carefully pry the IP air outlet vent towards you.
  3. Remove the IP air outlet vent.

Installation Procedure

  1. Place the instrument panel (IP) air outlet vent to the opening in the IP cluster trim plate.
  2. Carefully press the instrument panel (IP) air outlet vent towards one side of the opening in the IP cluster trim plate.
  3. While pressing the air outlet vent to one side of the opening, push the IP air outlet vent into the IP cluster trim plate opening retainer.

Removal Procedure

  1. Insert a flat-bladed tool under the left side of the instrument panel (IP) name plate. Slide the flat-bladed tool to the right in order to locate the retainer. Grasp the IP name plate and carefully pull rearward in order to release the retainer. Continue working toward the right side of the IP name plate and release the remaining retainers.
  2. Remove the IP nameplate.
  3. Starting at the top of the RH IP air outlet vent panel, gently pull the panel rearward in order to release the top retainer.
  4. Grasp the RH IP air outlet vent panel in the middle and pull the panel rearward in order to release the middle retainer.
  5. Grasp the bottom of the RH IP air outlet vent panel and carefully pull the panel straight out in order to release the final retainer.
  6. Remove the RH IP air outlet vent panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Starting at the bottom of the RH instrument panel (IP) air outlet vent panel, grasp the panel and carefully push the panel straight in until the retainer is engaged.
  2. Grasp the RH IP air outlet vent panel in the middle and push the panel towards the IP in order to engage the middle retainer.
  3. Gently push the top of the panel towards the IP in order to engage the top retainer.
  4. Position the IP name plate to the IP.
  5. Starting at the right side of the IP name plate, carefully install the right IP name plate retainer. Continue towards the LH side of the IP name plate until the remaining retainers are engaged.
