Inspect fuse 39 in the fuse block.

Is fuse 39 open?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp.
  4. Probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal D2 and the ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Replace fuse 39.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Inspect fuse 39.

Is fuse 39 open?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal D2 for a poor terminal contact
  2. Replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm if the connector is good.
  3. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 39.

Repair a short to ground in CKT 39.

Has the repair been made?

  1. Ensure the ignition is in the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect the connectors/components that were removed.
