Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  2. Remove the IP compartment latch screws.
  3. Remove the IP compartment latch.
  4. Remove the IP compartment door panel screws from the IP compartment.
  5. Remove the IP compartment door panel from the IP compartment.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the instrument panel (IP) compartment door panel to the IP compartment.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the IP compartment door panel screws to the IP compartment.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the IP compartment door panel screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the IP compartment latch.
  6. Install the IP compartment latch screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the IP compartment latch screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the IP compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
