Spot Lamp Bulb Replacement RPO 7X6, 7X7
Removal Procedure
- Remove the cover from the instrument
panel (IP) fuse block.
- Remove the LH spotlamp fuse #15, or the RH spotlamp fuse #6 from
the IP fuse block.
- Raise the spotlamp from the stowed to the operating position.
- Support the spotlamp sealed beam in position.
- Remove the screws retaining the bezel to the spotlamp head assembly.
- Remove the bezel from the spotlamp head assembly.
- Tilt the sealed beam away from the spotlamp head assembly.
- Remove the screws retaining the spotlamp electrical connectors
to the sealed beam.
- Remove the sealed beam.
Installation Procedure
- Position the sealed beam close to the
spotlamp head assembly.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Position the spotlamp
electrical connectors to the sealed beam and install the retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the spotlamp electrical connectors to sealed beam retaining
screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install and maintain the sealed beam in position on the spotlamp
head assembly.
- Install the bezel to the spotlamp head assembly.
- Install the spotlamp bezel retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the spotlamp bezel retaining screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the LH spotlamp fuse #15, or the RH spotlamp fuse #6 to
the IP fuse block.
- Install the cover to the IP fuse block.
- Lower the spotlamp to the stowed position.
