Inspect the inside rearview mirror bulb filament(s). Refer to Rearview Mirror Lamp Replacement .

Is any of the bulb filament open?

  1. Disconnect the inside rearview mirror electrical connector.
  2. Use a test light in order to connect between the inside rearview mirror electrical harness connector terminal C and the ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 3

  1. Open any vehicle door.
  2. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position.
  3. Use a test light in order to connect between the inside rearview mirror harness connector terminals A and C.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Use a test light in order to connect between the inside rearview mirror harness connector terminals B and C.

Did the test light illuminate?

Replace the inside rearview mirror bulb(s). Refer to Rearview Mirror Lamp Replacement .

Repair a poor connection or open in CKT 240.

Repair the poor connection or open in CKT 156 between S392 and the inside rearview mirror connector terminal A.

  1. Inspect the inside rearview mirror electrical connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the inside rearview mirror if connection is OK. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Replacement in Stationary Windows.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect any of the connectors or components that were removed.
