Emergency Vehicle Rear Lamp Replacement RPO 6J6
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the rear window panel
lamp(s) (1) to be removed.
- Remove the bolts retaining the lamp bracket(s) to the rear window
panel.
- Remove the rear window panel lamp(s) with bracket(s).
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear window panel lamp(s)
with bracket(s) into position on the rear window panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the rear window panel lamp bracket
to rear window panel retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear window panel lamp bracket retaining bolts to 1.5 N·m
(13 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector(s) to the rear window panel lamp(s).
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
