  1. Inspect the inoperative bulbs for a damaged or open filament.
  2. Check that the harness connector seals are not damaged or missing.

Are the bulbs and the harness connectors OK?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the turn signal switch to the inoperative side.
  3. Using a test light, backprobe between the inoperative tail/stop/turn lamp harness connector terminal A to ground.

Does the test light flash?

    • The left rear lamp is inoperative: Using a test light, backprobe between the C201 terminal A4 to ground.
    • The right rear lamp is inoperative: Using a test light, backprobe between the C201 terminal A5 to ground.

Does the test light flash?

Replace the tail/stop/turn lamp. Refer to Tail Lamp Bulb Replacement .

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

    • The left rear lamp is inoperative: Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 18 between connector C201 terminal A4 and the left rear tail/stop/turn/lamp.
    • The right rear lamp is inoperative: Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 19 between connector C201 terminal A5 and the rear right tail/stop/turn lamp.
