Press LOCK, then UNLOCK on any power door lock switch.

Do the power door locks operate?

Are the lights inoperative on one door only?

  1. Remove the door trim panel of the door that does not turn on the courtesy lights.
  2. Disconnect the door lock electrical connector.
  3. Use a test light in order to connect between B+ and the door lock harness connector terminal D of the driver's door.
  4. Use a test light in order to connect between B+ and the door lock harness connector terminal A for the rest of the doors.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

  1. Open any vehicle door.
  2. Use a test light in order to backprobe between B+ and the headlamp switch connector terminal C.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 11

  1. Turn the ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position.
  2. Connect a 10A fused jumper between the door lock harness connector terminals A and D.

Did the courtesy light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 7

Repair the poor connection or open in CKT 750 between the door lock harness connector terminal D and S303.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

  1. Inspect the door lock harness connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the door lock assembly if the connector is OK.
  3. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement (Front Door) or Rear Door Lock Replacement (Rear Door) in Doors.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the poor connection or open in CKT 49 between the door lock harness connector terminal A (or terminal D) and S309.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position
  2. Reconnect any of the connectors or components that were removed.

Have all repairs been made?

--

Go to Interior Lamps System Check

--

  1. Inspect the headlamp switch connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the headlamp switch if the connection is OK.

Has the repair been made?

--

Go to Step 9

Repair the poor connection or open in CKT 49.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 9
