For 1990-2009 cars only
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Remove the rear brake caliper bracket with the rear brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement.
- Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement.
- Inspect the park brake shoe and lining. If it exhibits any of the following conditions, then it requires replacement :
- Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement.
- Install the rear brake caliper with the rear brake caliper bracket. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement.
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Lower the vehicle.
