Tools Required

    • EN 47699 Flywheel Holding Tool
    • J 41816 Crankshaft Balancer Remover
    • J 41816-2 Crankshaft End Protector

    Object Number: 1602753 Size: SH

    Important: Do not use the crankshaft balancer bolt again. Install a NEW crankshaft balancer bolt during final assembly.

  1. Install the EN 47699  (2), spacer (1), and bolt (3) to the block and flex plate.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Tighten the EN 47699 bolt (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  3. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt (139).

    4. Do not discard the crankshaft balancer bolt. The balancer bolt will be used during the balancer installation procedure.

  4. Use the J 41816  (1) and the J 41816-2  (2) in order to remove the crankshaft balancer.

    5. Object Number: 1411874 Size: SH
  5. Remove the crankshaft balancer (138).
  6. Remove the EN 47699 , bolt, and spacer.
