Heater Outlet Hose Replacement 3.4L
Tools Required
J 38185
Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Use
J 38185
in order to position aside the heater hose outlet clamp.
Disconnect the heater outlet hose (2) from the outlet pipe.
Use
J 38185
in order to position aside the heater core outlet hose clamp.
Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the heater core.
Remove the heater outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
Install the heater outlet hose.
Connect the heater outlet hose to the heater core.
Important:
Position heater core hose clamps in the indicated location.
Use
J 38185
in order to secure the heater core hose outlet clamp.
Connect the heater outlet hose (2) to the outlet pipe.
Use
J 38185
in order to secure the heater hose outlet clamp.
Refill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.

Removal Procedure
Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
Use
J 38185
in order to position aside the heater hose outlet clamp at the pipe adapter.
Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the pipe adapter.
Use
J 38185
in order to position aside the heater core outlet hose clamp.
Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the heater core.
Remove the heater outlet hose from the support bracket.
Installation Procedure
Install the heater outlet hose to the support bracket.
Connect the heater outlet hose to the heater core.
Use
J 38185
in order to secure the heater core hose outlet clamp.
Connect the heater outlet hose to the pipe adapter.
Use
J 38185
in order to secure the heater hose outlet clamp.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
Refill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
