For the DE 100 series radio, complete the following procedure, with the key in the ON position use a scan tool, in order to properly set up communication:

Important: The Radio Setup option does not contain a submenu. Radio Setup will
configure the following systems:
• Steering wheel controls • Learn VIN • DTCs • Class 2 radio messages • Country Code • Chime Volume • Chime Level • 12/24 Hour Clock
In order to calibrate the radio, begin at the Special Functions screen. Repeat step 1 through step 7 of the Radio Setup, if needed.
At the Special Functions screen, select Country Code.
Important: The Country Code option does not contain a submenu. Country Code sets the point of sale, or origin, in the radio in order to calibrate the tuner for the country that the vehicle will be used in.
In order to set the chime volume, begin at the Special Functions screen. Repeat step 1 through step 7 of the Radio Setup, if needed.
• | Loud Chime Volume |
• | Select the appropriate voltage/volume level. |
Important: The Loud Chime Volume option does not contain a submenu. This selection is used for setting the volume when the radio is replaced.
In order to set the Chime Level, begin at the Special Functions screen. Repeat step 1 through step 7 of the Radio Setup, if needed.
Important: The Chime Level option does not contain a submenu. The Chime Level setting has an option of setting a normal chime or a loud chime when the radio is replaced.
