Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2001 🢒 Impala 🢒 HVAC 🢒 HVAC Systems - Manual 🢒 Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement or Passenger Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Disconnect support clip for the ignition switch harness.

    4. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the vacuum lines from the mode actuator.

    5. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  5. Carefully rotate the mode actuator toward the front of the vehicle until the actuator is released from the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    6. Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod and remove the actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 295292 Size: SH
  1. Connect the vacuum actuator pushrod to the mode lever and position the actuator.

    2. Object Number: 295288 Size: SH
  2. Carefully rotate the mode actuator toward the rear of the vehicle until the actuator is engaged on the mounting pins on the HVAC module.

    3. Object Number: 295281 Size: SH
  3. Connect the vacuum lines to the mode actuator.
  4. Connect support clip for the ignition switch harness.
  5. Install the instrument panel knee bolster bracket Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement or Passenger Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  6. Install the left side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
