Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 164795  Size: MH

    Notice: Do NOT remove the three bolts which hold the pump together.

  3. Remove the oil pump bolts (205,206,207).

  4. Object Number: 48212  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil pump (200) from the valve body (300).
  6. Inspect the oil pump. Refer to Transmission Fluid Pump Assemble in Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case 4T65E Unit Repair Manual.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 48212  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump (200) to the valve body (300).

  2. Object Number: 164795  Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the oil pump bolts (205,206,207).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 20 bolt (205) to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 85 bolt (207) to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 95 bolt (206) to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
  5. Install the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .
