Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear compartment convenience net and retainers, if equipped. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
  4. Remove the OnStar® vehicle communication unit (VCU) if equipped. Refer to OnStar Vehicle Communication Unit Replacement in Cellular Communications.
  5. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.

  6. Object Number: 460552  Size: SH
  7. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.

  8. Object Number: 561695  Size: SH
  9. Remove the push-in retainers from the rear compartment trim panel.

  10. Object Number: 460553  Size: SH
  11. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel from the rear seating area.

  12. Object Number: 460377  Size: SH
  13. Remove the rear compartment trim panel from the rear compartment.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 460377  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear compartment trim panel to the rear compartment.

  2. Object Number: 460553  Size: SH
  3. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel to the rear seating area.
  4. Press the rear compartment trim over the rear shock tower studs.

  5. Object Number: 561695  Size: SH
  6. Install the push-in retainers to the rear compartment trim panel.

  7. Object Number: 460552  Size: SH
  8. Install the spare tire cover to the rear compartment.
  9. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the OnStar® vehicle communication unit (VCU) if equipped. Refer to OnStar Vehicle Communication Unit Replacement in Cellular Communications.
  11. Install the rear compartment convenience net and retainers, if equipped. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
  12. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
  13. Close the rear compartment.
