Subject: | Removing Adhesive Residue from Interior Door Trim Panels |
Models: | 2000 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo |
To protect the interior door trim panels during vehicle assembly and shipping, a protective material is attached. If when removing the protective material during new car prep or make ready, some of the adhesive that attaches the material remains on the door trim panel, it can be removed using Kent Acrysolâ„¢ or equivalent.
If the door trim panel finish appears dull after removing the adhesive residue, apply a protectant type product such as Armor-Allâ„¢ or equivalent.
If for some reason the recommended product is not available and an equivalent is going to be used, read the manufacturer's directions completely before proceeding. Be aware that some products may contain chemicals that may cause softening, distortion or discoloration of the material being cleaned. In addition, some products may increase or decrease the gloss or shine from the original production level.
Important: If an equivalent product is to be used, always spot test for compatibility of the product on a small unobtrusive or low visibility area first.
Important: The product described above has been tested for removing the adhesive ONLY on the door trim panels on the described vehicles. As a result, do not use this product on other applications unless first spot testing for compatibility.
