HHR Panel Van Key Fobs Missing Panel Buttons - keywords cargo door doors entry keyless remote RFA rear

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer might comment that the keyfobs for their 2007 HHR Panel van DOES NOT have the rear cargo/access door buttons.

ONLY the 2008 model year HHR panel van keyfobs come with rear access panel door buttons.

By design:

For 2007:

HHR Panel vans you will NOT have rear cargo door buttons on the keyfobs.

For 2008:

HHR panel vans you will have the rear cargo door buttons on the keyfobs.

Note: The older 2007 system can NOT be upgraded to the newer 2008 system.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
